Wow, wow, wow ... this is definately a must do bucket list experience! We booked to do our flight with Justin at Barossa Balloon Adventures @ https://balloonadventures.com.au and had the most amazing experience - highly recommend you add this one to your bucket list & so worth the cost and the very early morning start (especially on a full moon night if you can swing it).

Our balloon flight started with a 5.00am meet & greet in the dark at Nuriootpa ballooning base camp - with the 14 other like minded balloonatics who were crazy enough to be with us. After a safety talk from Justin (our pilot) & a brief orientation with the mornings events, we all piled into 2 x 4WD's with trailers & set off together to find a paddock with the ideal launching space and wind conditions to take off.
Terrified I was ... but Col was really keen to do a balloon flight and so I decided I would pull on my big girl pants & go along for the ride. They say - 'life starts at the end of your comfort zone' ... I was probably slightly beyond that point for the start of this adventure - but once I stopped dwelling on all the potential life threatening possibilities (think about it ... the plan was to dangle over a kilometer up in the air in a wicker basket, with 15 other fully grown people, all sustained by a reem of very thin fabric & lots of hot air!!) - but if I blocked that terrifying thought out - I discovered I was actually loving every bit of it & I was able to really enjoy the moment.

Balloon travel is perfectly noiseless, scenic, peaceful and incredible fun ... you literately float along on a cloud - we had the most amazing time on our Barossa ballooning adventure ... and as an added bonus, on returning from great heights we were provided with a very tasty champagne breakfast - it was all just brilliant.
