Hi Everyone,

Welcome to our first official write-up on our WIX blog page - a direct link to our blog website and all past blogs can be found at - https://talisman868.wixsite.com/wordsarenotenough or links to individual blogs will also appear on Mandy’s Facebook page as we write and add them.

So ... with a deep breath, we are inviting you to come along with us (vicariously and in spirit at least), through these blog posts as we journey around Australia ... if you are interested you will be able to check in here each week (via a shared Facbook group or directly on our WIX Blog page address) & see where we are, what we have discovered, how we are traveling, ask questions, make a comment on our blog or message us to stay in touch. Our blog link will also allow you to re-read past blogs if you forget where we are up to in our journey or if you want to look up specific details and information about an area we have visited ... perhaps you may even want to add some of our highlights onto your own Australian travel bucket list for the future.

We are planning to head off on our new adventure as soon as we have a chance to say our fatewells to family and once the NSW border is open & clear for travel again in 2021 (thanks COVID!) - at this stage that is looking like early February.

Our travels are going to take us from our property in the Bega Valley on the Far South Coast of NSW, through the eastern states & regions of Victoria & South Australia.

As the weather starts to cool we will turn North through the centre of Australia up to Alice Springs, Katherine, Darwin, Kakadu National Park and the rest of the top end in the Northern Territory.

By late July or early August we hope to be heading into Western Australia & our journey will detour around the Kimberleys (as we visited this area in 2015) and across to Broome WA - before heading down the amazing West Australian coastline (with a side trip out to Tom Price & Karijini National Park). We will continue travelling south through Perth and around the beautiful south western corner of Australia past the Margaret River, Albany, & Esperance.

Our journey will end with an iconic drive across the Nullarbor Plain ... we will be back in NSW in time for a short trip out to Norfolk Island in early December and then Christmas 2021.

Our two mostly faithful and sometimes obedient canine freeloaders - Brandi & Dfor will be traveling with us & living out their best dog lives on the road as part of the pack ... that will be a challenge all on its own!
