We stayed for 2 days at Berry Springs, which is about 60kms south of Darwin, & enjoyed the area - despite the humidity and mozzies. We had fun swimming each day at Berry Thermal Springs and visited the Territory Wildlife Park on our 2nd day at Berry Springs - both were brilliant.

We camped at Lakes Resort in Berry Springs and it was a nice spot - but we were overrun by a gang of local chooks (and 1 duck) who decided they liked us from the minute we arrived, & even though they were uninvited & unwelcomed they spent a lot of time in our camp - which upset Dfor a little.

Berry Thermal Springs:

A fairly popular swimming hole with 3 connected ponds to swim in & between - we enjoyed a lovely relaxing swim here to cool down on both days we were in Berry Springs.

Territory Wildlife Park:

There was so much to see here - from the Nocturnal House, large walk in aviaries, buffalo & dingos enclosures and a very interesting aquarium full of tropical fish, rays, crocodiles & reptiles from the top end. There was also a train come bus to traffic us around the park to different attractions, regular talks & demonstrations - we had a wonderful day.

Lots of lovely birds were on display throughout the park:

Reptiles in the nocternal house & elsewhere in the park

There was a brilliant Aquarium:

Walking trails through wetlands & forest:

Excellent wildlife presentations - we went to the top end fish & fresh water stingray feeding & also did a training birds of prey demonstration - both were great.
