We have explored some very picturesque and interesting places on our journey along the Limestone Coast and southern Fleurieu Peninsula coastline. We loved all of the following -
Mount Gambier;
We had a fantastic time in Mt Gambier and especially liked all the sink-hole gardens, caves, swimming holes, antique shops & stunning sunsets - a very pretty & friendly spot - well worth a visit.

The Blue Lake Sinkhole:
The colour of blue Lake is such a brilliant blue - my photos just don't do it justice ... people add engraved locks to the lookout to symbolise their commitment to each other!

Cave Garden Sinkhole:
A very pretty sinkhole garden right in the centre of town ... all the run off stormwater from the roads around the sinkhole is channelled into the garden and forms waterfalls when it rains & at night the garden is lit up with a sound show - well worth a visit.

The Centenial Tower:
'Let's go for a walk up to the Centenial Tower' he said, 'it will be fun & good for us' he said ... but the truth is the hike to the top of the hill very nearly killed me!

... however I have to concede ... the view from the top of the hill out across Mt Gambier & the volcanic lakes was wonderful + Brandi loved the walk & sniffing experience!

The last photo is the view from the bottom of the hill looking up at said Centenial Tower ... see it is high!!
Port MacDonnell:
We took a drive out to the coast just south of Mt Gambier to see Port MacDonnell - a fishing port & a very pretty part of the coast.

The Umpherston Sinkhole:
An incredibly beautiful sinkhole garden & one of the most relaxing, tranquil gardens either of us have ever visited - little swallow birds glided in & around the sinkhole & there were other birds chirping everywhere - a very zen garden. Add this to your garden visit bucket list if you have one - very pretty.

Once nightfall arrives in the Umpherston Garden, all the local possums come out and are very tame if you offer them fruit & veggies ... we took some sliced apple & carrot one night after dark and walked down into the sinkhole garden - we were very popular with all the sinkhole resident's & formed some very short term friendships (once the food runs out any possum friendships formed end abruptly - so you feel very used!). Brace yourself - some cuteness overload photos to follow!!

A swim in Little Blue Lake Sinkhole:
This is a definate must do experience ... it is very cold, very deep & incredibly relaxing to float on your back in the clear, clean blue limestone waters of this sinkhole - we had an amazing swim here one warm afternoon - just fantastic, add this one to your bucket list.

Engelbrecht Cave:
Informative & different - not quite what we were expecting but interesting.

Mount Schank Volcano:
Amazing & Cols drone shots are great.

Beachport:
Beachport was a very pretty coastal stop off that we visited after we left Mt Gambier and headed along the Limestone Coast. Beachports claim to fame is that it has the 2nd longest wharf in South Australia - so of course we all walked out to the end of it.

Robe:
Robe was a very pretty port and we were very impressed by the excellent locally produced coffee, spectacular coastal views & walks, marina & amazing Precious Plastic recycling incentives/ business the whole town contributes to.

Kingston SE:
The very Big Lobster & a beach that Brandi loved - enough said!

The Coorong's -
A very stark but stunning wild environmrnt with picturesque salt flats & lakes - the Coorong Coast was all SA National Park - so we only stopped to look, photograph & send up the drone for a better ariel view.

Meningie:
Famous for a usually spectacular pink lake (that was in no way very pink by the time we arrived on the scene unfortunately) & a very cool ride on bird sculpture & legend on Lake Albert foreshore!

Port Elliott -
We camped at Port Elliott Showground (which had a brilliant community dog park right next door - much to Brandi & Dfor's delight). Although it was a fairly crowded & obviously popular inlet with lots of Adelaide commuters - this is a nice spot.

Victor Harbor:
We had lots of fun at Victor Harbor - particularly crossing the historic jetty to Granite Island and then back by horse drawn tram. The following day we had a great bike ride along the boardwalk that followed the coastline past Victor Harbor & we also visited Hindmarsh Falls.

Rapid Bay (just North of Cape Jarvis)-
Such a stunningly beautiful place to swim, walk, explore & camp overnight while we waited to load our car & caravan onto the sealink ferry heading to Kangaroo Island.
